XR250R Super Thumper to Trade for Dual Sport Bike (douglasville)
I have a Honda XR250R that I would like to trade for a Dual Sport bike. This bike is for dirt only and has been modified into a "Super Thumper" Enduro Machine. Due to the engine modifications it now requires 100 octane or higher fuel, which can be obtained from most Sunoco and some BP Gas Stations all around. The Low end power/torque on this machine is incredible The bike is a 1991 and has less than 100 hours on it since it was stripped down to the frame and modified about four years ago.
Modifications are below:
• Engine shipped to Thumper Racing for a 300 Bore Kit Modifications
Cylinders bored for two 80mm Wiesco racing pistons; High Performance racing Cam; Fly wheel Ground; Installed Heavy Duty Clutch Plates/Discs and Springs; Port & Polished Cylinder Heads; Intake/Exhaust Valves replaced and HD Springs installed; installed a 34mm flat slide Mikuni Carb; 650cc Air Boot installed to adapt to the inlet of the Mikuni Carb for increased air flow on the induct side, with K&N Filters; enlarged Exhaust Headers with DNR approved Racing Exhaust
• Frame, Drive Train/Suspension and Chassis completely overhauled
Frame stripped/sandblasted and primed and painted with Poly Imron white Paint; Bully Dog Foot Pegs; Moose Frame/Engine Brush Guard; Swing Arm Bushings replaced/Overhauled; 14 tooth Drive & 52 tooth Main Sprocket with RK Chain & Guard installed; new Michelin Starcross MS Tires installed; New Disc Brake Front & Rear; New Renthal CR Aluminum Handle Bar with Acerbis Brush Guards and a Gasser Throttle; HD Front Fork Springs and new Fork Seals and Boots.

Still have the bike. Bike has a two cylinder engine and both cylinders were bored from a stock 70mm size to a 80mm size. Wiesco is a racing piston with a pop up dome on it. Because of all the modifications to the engine, the Engine shop that overhauled recommends 100 octane for best engine performance. Thumper Racing Company performed the engine modifications and were located in California at the time. They now are located in Nevada. Check out their Web Site below.
http://thumperracing.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=37_41_268_84&product_id=70This bike is not a radical racing bike, but has unbelievable low end torque with a wide power band. I rode this bike for a year after it was overhauled and I weigh 240lbs. It will take you on any enduro type riding or does a great job if you like to hill climb.
Hope this gives you a little insight on this bike. Call Gary @ 678-641-9378 if you have additional interest.
